How to Apply as a Foreign Buyer?

International buyers interested in financing their purchase of US made equipment should notify the exporter's sales agent.

The exporter contacts NORTHSTAR to discuss the sale. NORTHSTAR is able to provide a Letter of Interest outlining the financing available.

Either before, during, or after the sale agreement is reached, a completed NORTHSTAR credit application is submitted directly to NORTHSTAR.

The credit application should include the following information:

• 3 years of audited financial statements.
• Details of the equipment to be purchased.
• Amount of financing requested for the transaction..

Once the Financing is Approved

On approval of the application, NORTHSTAR will issue an offer of financing based on the clients needs.

The credit arrangements are finalized in consultation with the buyer and the exporter. This includes the repayment schedule, pricing, and the documentation for the loan.

NORTHSTAR prepares the necessary documentation and presents it directly to the buyer.

The buyer executes the loan documents and registers a security in favour of NORTHSTAR.

NORTHSTAR will disburse the monies directly to the exporter once:

• Acceptance Certificate has been completed by the exporter and the buyer.
• Evidence of shipment has been presented to NORTHSTAR.
